Quartz, known in Japanese as 'suisho' (crystal), is a stone that is familiar in Japan, but it is also a profound stone with an outstanding number of varieties, including amethyst and citrine. This crystal, which resembles red cherry blossom petals falling like snow, is called Tinkerbell Quartz or Pink Fire Quartz. A penlight was used to photograph the crystal so that the inclusions inside can be more clearly seen. Tinkerbell Quartz has a rare facet cut. When Tinkerbell Quartz is faceted, the pink fire is often hidden, so it is not widely available.
