Musgravite is a rare gemstone known only to those in the know. It was named after the Musgrave Ranges in Australia, where it was discovered in 1967. It is a mineral closely related to taaffeite, and because it can be difficult to distinguish from other gems by sight alone, it is a fascinating find for gemstone enthusiasts.
This is a Myanmar-sourced musgravite purchased in Bangkok. Its pale, nearly colorless hue and high clarity are its greatest charms. While many musgravites contain inclusions, we searched for and acquired this particular stone for its remarkably clear appearance. Its emerald cut further accentuates its sleek, transparent quality.Comes with a gem identification report from GIT (The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand).

* We make every effort to ensure that the colors in our photos match the actual products, but appearances may vary slightly due to lighting conditions during photography or your monitor settings. Some photos may also be taken using a penlight.

* For products featuring UV fluorescence photos, we use a 365nm wavelength blacklight. If you use a light with a different wavelength (e.g., around 395nm), the fluorescence may appear weaker or be difficult to observe. The blacklight used by our store can be found here.
