KARATZ Books

Jewelry Origami
Make sparkling jewels using origami.
We will introduce how to fold some of the most commonly seen gemstone cuts.
The work was produced and photographed with the cooperation of members of the Orist Origami Club at the University of Tokyo.
In addition to cutting gemstones, the book also introduces how to fold them so that they can be worn or displayed, making it enjoyable for a wide range of ages, from children to adults.
After the folding instructions, there is a mini illustrated guide using KARATZ's pride and joy, gemstone photos. Technical terms and difficult descriptions have been kept to a minimum, and the guide has been designed to be easy to read for people who are not familiar with gemstones and even small children.

Little gem book
"The Book of Little Jewels" is one of Liberal Publishing's "Little Book Series."
In addition to the gem encyclopedia page introducing Japanese birthstones, which was revised at the end of 2021, this book is packed with stories about great people and famous people with close ties to gems, legends surrounding gems that have remained around the world, and introductions to literature and paintings in which gems appear, making it a very engaging book that allows you to look at gems from many different perspectives.
There are pages introducing gemstones with artistic appearances, as well as birthstones and zodiac stones accompanied by beautiful photographs. We aimed to create a book that is soothing to look at, and one that you will want to open before going to sleep at night.

Gemstone Encyclopedia
The site introduces over 300 types of gemstones, from famous gemstones such as diamonds, rubies, and sapphires to rare stones that you don't usually get to see, along with beautiful photographs.
The magazine conveys the charm of gems from all angles, incorporating KARATZ's unique perspective, such as stories about purchasing gems in Thailand and Sri Lanka, which KARATZ's representative Koyama often visits, and tips for photographing gems.
We also took size and weight into consideration, using lightweight materials and a handy size to make the book so light that you won't even notice the 288 pages! We hope you'll feel free to carry it with you to exhibitions or on your travels.
