pearl

Pearls are organic gemstones produced within the bodies of shellfish. Pearl is the birthstone for June. Ever since Kokichi Mikimoto succeeded in culturing perfectly round pearls in 1905, cultured pearls have become mainstream. The color and characteristics vary depending on the type of mother oyster.
