Brazilian alexandrite is said to be of the highest quality, second only to Russian alexandrite. Many of them are highly transparent and have easy-to-understand discoloration effects, but the production volume is decreasing year by year and prices are rising. You may also find one with a strong blue flavor similar to the one from Russia.
