Sapphire is a world-famous gemstone that needs no introduction. Its mineral is corundum, the same as ruby, but all corundum that is not red is called sapphire. This is a yellow sapphire. With a hardness of 9, second only to diamond, sapphire is a highly durable and stable gemstone that is easy to care for. With a vivid blue-green hue reminiscent of a mallard's wing, this color is referred to in English as "Teal Blue," a shade of sapphire that has been growing in popularity in recent years.
This is an Australian sapphire that offers both teal blue and teal green tones. An identification report is included.
