Montana sapphires were first discovered by Dr. J.F. Kunz, a vice president at Tiffany & Co., when he identified blue rough stones found in Yorgo Valley, Montana, as sapphires. There are several deposits, and while the characteristics vary from place to place, they are generally characterized by their high transparency and the abundance of fancy colors.

This gacha features loose Montana sapphires with a high level of transparency, oval shapes (mostly about 5 x 3 mm, but some slightly larger sizes are available). Colors range from blue to pale yellow and green.
These Montana sapphires were purchased directly from the Montana sapphire mine owner in the United States.
