Sapphire is a well-known and popular gemstone. While it shares the same mineral composition as ruby, corundum that is not red is categorized as sapphire. This particular stone is a yellow sapphire. With a hardness of 9, second only to diamond, sapphire is also known for its toughness and stability, making it an easy gemstone to care for.
This is a yellow sapphire cut and polished meticulously by Sri Lankan gem cutter Mr. Sanje, from rough sapphire stones sourced in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. It boasts high transparency and a beautiful brilliance. The cut is precise, ensuring no color windowing when viewed from the front. An appraisal certificate is included.
