Malawi Moonstone 2.102ct Loose

A type of feldspar found in Malawi, southeastern Africa. It is characterized by fine, iridescent streaks of light appearing within a transparent crystal. While typical moonstones and rainbow moonstones are admired for the adularescence on their surface, Malawian moonstones are appealing because the iridescent light appears to penetrate deep within the crystal. This iridescence is caused by light interference from slight distortions and layered structures within the crystal, creating an impressive effect with bands of brilliance spreading in a certain direction. The contrast between transparency and iridescence is beautiful, and those with particularly good coloration are rare due to limited production. Please enjoy the unique play of light in each individual piece.

※ We strive to ensure that the photos show the actual colors of the product, but due to lighting conditions during photography and your monitor environment, the actual product may look slightly different. Also, some photos may be taken using a penlight.

※ For products with UV fluorescence photos, we use a 365nm blacklight for photography. If you use a light with a different wavelength (e.g., around 395nm), the fluorescence may appear weaker or be difficult to confirm. The blacklight we use can be found here.
