The world's oldest mineral, zircon. It is a stone with a rich variety of colors and a large double refraction, which gives it a "doubling" characteristic that makes it sparkle. This is the yellowish-brown type.
This is a Tanzanian zircon cut by Sri Lankan master cutter Mr. Sanje. It has been carefully cut so that there is no color loss even when viewed from the front.
