Quartz, known as Suisho in Japanese, is a familiar stone in Japan, but it is also a profoundly diverse stone with many varieties such as amethyst and citrine. This quartz, with its red "petals" fluttering like a blizzard, is called Tinkerbell Quartz or Pink Fire Quartz. A penlight was used to photograph it to clearly show the inclusions inside.
