8.005ct Loose Myanmar Masgravite/Spinel (Symbiotic Type) with Japan-German Gemmological Institute (GGTL) Certificate

Musgravite is a rare gemstone known to a select few. It is said to have been first discovered in the Musgrave Range of Australia in 1967. Less than 50 years have passed since its discovery. Due to its chemical composition being very similar to spinel and taaffeite, it was reportedly extremely difficult for identification laboratories to distinguish until recently.

This is a very rare type of loose gemstone where musgravite and spinel coexist.

Musgravite is known as a rare stone with limited distribution, and this particular piece is a symbiotic type with spinel. While spinel itself is a well-known gemstone, cases where it is found coexisting with musgravite are not common. This is an even rarer symbiotic type of the already rare musgravite. It is a stone that allows you to fully appreciate the fascination of minerals.
