Known as the "king of pleochroism," andalusite reveals a blend of multiple colors—including brown, green, and orange—within a single stone when viewed from different angles. It is, in fact, a polymorph of kyanite and sillimanite. This particular andalusite was precision-cut by Mr. Sanje, a lapidary in Sri Lanka, and features a meticulous cut that ensures no color loss when viewed from the front.
