Rutilated quartz has a beautiful golden shine. "Golden needles" made of rutile are embedded in the crystal. Its Japanese name is "Kinronishi." It is also called "rutile in quartz," "rutiled quartz," or "rutile quartz." A penlight is used for photographing in order to capture the beautiful shine of the inclusions. This is a 2.09ct Brazilian rutilated quartz cut by Sri Lankan cutter Sanjay.
