Colombian Trapiche Emerald (Reverse Trapiche) 0.073ct Rough Stone

Sale price¥8,800
Trapiche emeralds, which have six lines visible, are rare gemstones that are mined in only a very small proportion of the total emerald production. It is believed that this pattern was created when impurities mixed in as the crystal grew, and then extended vertically along with the crystal. These are a typical trapiche emerald and a reverse trapiche emerald loose stone. This is a very rare type of emerald called a reverse trapiche emerald, with the emerald rough at the center and a different growth pattern than normal. Locally, it is also called a trapiche emerald contrario.

This is a reverse trapiche emerald carefully selected from the collection of emerald hunter Shimizu Masahiro, who is well-known from Matsuko's Unknown World.
