Benitoite is said to be one of America's three rarest stones. It combines the intense brilliance of a diamond with the beautiful blue of a sapphire, making it a fascinating gemstone. It is said to have been discovered near the San Benito River in California in the 1900s, and is known for its strong light dispersion.

This is a highly transparent ice blue benitoite cut by Sri Lankan cutter Sanjay. It has been carefully cut so that the color does not fade even when viewed from the front.
