[For adults] Let's try gemstone polishing "Do-it-yourself rough stone polishing set" (for beginners: bicolor fluorite) with boulder opal *Subject to the rough stone polishing contest*
The "Do-It-Yourself Rough Stone Polishing Kit", which was very popular every time it was released, will be re-released with new contents.

This time, we have chosen bicolor fluorite as the rough stone for the adult kit. Since it has a low hardness, it is easy for beginners to polish, and each stone has a different striped pattern, making it a fun gemstone to finish. As before, a complete set of tools necessary for polishing gemstones is included, so you can start right away.

Also, as a Christmas present from Karatz this time, adults will receive a boulder opal rough stone from Australia as a bonus. We obtained this very old stock from a local dealer. Please try to find the playful color effects characteristic of opals that sparkle in various places.
We hope you will experience the beauty of gemstones during your winter break or holiday season at home!

【Polishing Instructions】
※For more detailed and easy-to-understand instructions, please refer to the video.
1. After wetting the stone,
first, polish it with a diamond file. There is no functional difference in the abrasive surface between the diamond files (white) and (red). The (white) one has a larger surface, making it easier for children to use. Use it when you want to remove a lot of material. The (red) one is recommended for polishing fine surfaces.
2. Secure the wet/dry sandpaper to the wooden binder and polish the stone in a circular motion ("no" shape) while keeping it wet. The smaller the number on the wet/dry sandpaper, the coarser it is. Change from sandpaper with smaller numbers to larger numbers (from coarser grit to finer grit) as you polish.
3. The process is complete once you have polished it to your desired extent.
【Precautions during polishing】
・There is a risk of cutting your hand while filing. Please polish with extreme caution.
・Periodically rinse off the abrasive residue with water while polishing, dry it with tissue paper or kitchen paper, and check the polished surface. If you continue polishing without rinsing with water, the remaining abrasive residue may scratch the surface of the gemstone. Replace the water as needed.
※You will receive 1 rough stone.
The photos are examples, and you cannot choose the color or shape. Please be aware of this in advance.
※While there will be no changes to the quality or intended use, some tools may have changes in color or specifications.
