In ancient times, fishermen cherished "aquamarine" as a charm for safe voyages. This is an aquamarine of the color commonly known as "Santa Maria Aquamarine." This beautiful blue to light blue gemstone is mineralogically a member of the beryl group, which also includes emerald and aquamarine.
This is a highly transparent Santa Maria aquamarine from Brazil. An appraisal report from the Japan Germany Gemological Institute is included.
