[Posted as 12563940] Colombian Trapiche Emerald 0.199 ct Loose Stone
Trapiche emeralds, which exhibit a six-rayed star pattern, are extremely rare gemstones, making up only a tiny fraction of all emeralds produced. This pattern is believed to form when impurities become trapped during crystal growth and extend vertically along with the crystal.
While most trapiche emeralds on the market come from the Muzo mine, this particular one is a rare find from the Cosquez mine. Furthermore, we have carefully selected only those with a deep body color and beautiful patterns. This lot was acquired by Mr. Masahiro Shimizu, the "Emerald Hunter" familiar from the TV program "Matsuko's Unknown World," for his new overseas collection and was first unveiled in Hong Kong, from which we carefully selected these pieces.
