Trapiche emeralds, which display six radial arms, are rare gemstones, representing only a small fraction of all emeralds produced. This pattern is believed to form when impurities are incorporated into the crystal during its growth and extend vertically along with the crystal.

While most trapiche emeralds on the market come from the Muzo mine, this particular one is from the rare Coscuez mine. Furthermore, among these, we have carefully selected pieces with a deep body color and beautiful patterns. This emerald was hand-picked from a lot that was newly acquired for overseas markets by Masahiro Shimizu, the "Emerald Hunter" familiar from the TV show "Matsuko's Unknown World," and first unveiled in Hong Kong.
