Paraiba tourmaline is captivating for its unique hue, unlike the blue of the sea or the sky. In Japan, copper-bearing blue-to-green tourmaline is referred to as Paraiba tourmaline. This is a Paraiba tourmaline from Batalha, Brazil. It features a striking vivid blue color that can be clearly enjoyed even when viewed from the front. It has a CuO (copper oxide) content of 1.1% and MnO (manganese oxide) of 0.6%. This is a 3.2mm round-cut, 0.152ct Paraiba tourmaline that offers both the provenance of Batalha and a vivid blue color.
