Sapphire is a famous gemstone that needs no introduction. Its mineral is corundum, just like ruby, but all corundum that is not red is called sapphire. This is a classic blue sapphire. With a hardness of 9, sapphire is the second hardest gemstone after diamond, and it is also highly tough and stable, making it easy to care for.
This blue sapphire was carefully polished by Sri Lankan master polisher Mr. Sanje in Sri Lanka, from rough sapphire acquired in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. It boasts high transparency and a beautiful sparkle. The cut is meticulously done, showing no color zoning when viewed from the front. Its soft and elegant hue, reminiscent of cornflower blue, is also a captivating feature. An appraisal certificate is included.
