Originally, tanzanite is a stone that is attractive for its pleochroism, which appears to be a different color depending on the viewing angle. I never get tired of watching the various blue colors such as blue, blue-purple, and ultramarine dancing inside the stones. This is a bi-color tanzanite that has multiple ground colors.
