Cobalt spinel from Vietnam 2mm/0.031ct loose Japanese-German edition

This beautiful blue. This hard shine has a Mohs hardness of 8. "Blue spinel" does not necessarily mean "cobalt spinel"; anything with a confirmed cobalt band is called "cobalt spinel". This is a Vietnamese cobalt spinel with a distinctive neon color.

Color-shifted cobalt spinel from Vietnam that was purchased directly overseas and cut by skilled craftsmen in Bangkok. Among the Vietnamese cobalt spinels, it is loose and of high quality with particular attention to color and cut. Round cut approximately 2mm (1.95mm). The color shift is hard to see in photos because the purple tint does not show up, but if you shine a color change light on it, you can see the change to purple. A certificate of identification from the Japan-German Gem Research Institute is included.
