This mineral is an intermediate between andesine and labradorite, belonging to the feldspar group, and is also known by the gem name "Rainbow Moonstone." The iridescent optical effect (labradorescence) that appears as you change the angle is mystical and beautiful, making you want to gaze at it forever.

These are from Balangoda, Sri Lanka, known as a producer of high-quality andesine-labradorite, and were cut into pear-shaped buff tops by Sri Lankan lapidarist Mr. Sanje. Vibrant blue and rainbow colors shine in the translucent crystals, and the buff top cut allows for a more three-dimensional enjoyment of the optical effect.
The average size is approximately 5.0 x 3.0 mm. You will receive one stone from the five shown in the photo.
