Dunilite, discovered in Sri Lanka in 1996, is a rare type of olivine (peridot) known for its high iron and manganese content. It is named after Mr. Dunilal, a mining magnate in Sri Lanka.

Currently, the only known source is the Kolonna region of Sri Lanka, and gem-quality crystals are extremely rare, so they are not often seen on the market. Although it is a relatively new gemstone since its discovery, its rarity has attracted attention among collectors.

These dunilites were polished in Sri Lanka from rough stones purchased little by little locally. They feature a unique modified triangular fancy cut that evokes a triangle, allowing you to enjoy the warm yellow-green color and brilliance characteristic of olivine.

This time, we have a limited supply of two stones: 0.156ct and 0.120ct. These are highly recommended for those looking for rare dunilite or those who enjoy collecting unusual gemstones.

An identification report from the Japan Germany Gemological Institute is included.
Please note that the identification report lists "olivine" as both the mineral name and the gemstone name.
