Sapphire is a world-famous gemstone that needs no introduction. It is the same mineral as ruby, known as corundum, and any corundum that is not red is called sapphire. With a Mohs hardness of 9, as well as excellent toughness and stability, it is a gemstone that has been long cherished in jewelry.
This is an unheated sapphire from Kashmir, Pakistan. While many people associate the name "Kashmir" with blue sapphire, the area around Kashmir on the Pakistani side also produces pink to purple sapphires.This stone features a vibrant pink hue with a subtle hint of purple. It is a sapphire that will intrigue gem enthusiasts, offering a glimpse into the depth of the Kashmir region.A GIA report is included.
