Malawi Moonstone (Malawi Moonstone) 2.121ct Loose Stone

A variety of feldspar mined in Malawi, in southeastern Africa. It is characterized by fine, rainbow-colored streaks of light visible within its transparent crystals. While typical moonstone and rainbow moonstone are appreciated for the surface sheen, the appeal of the Malawi variety lies in the appearance of rainbow light trapped within the stone. This iridescence is created by the interference of light due to slight distortions or layered structures inside the crystal, creating an impressive effect with band-like radiance extending in a specific direction. The contrast between its clarity and the rainbow colors is beautiful, and specimens with particularly vivid coloration are rare with limited production. Please enjoy the unique expression of light in each individual stone.
