Malawi Moonstone 2.639ct Loose Stone

Sale price¥15,800
A type of feldspar produced in Malawi, in southeastern Africa. It is characterized by fine, iridescent light that appears as streaks within its transparent crystal. While typical moonstone and rainbow moonstone are enjoyed for their surface sheen, the allure of the Malawian variety lies in the appearance of rainbow light trapped inside the stone. This iridescence is created by the interference of light caused by slight distortions or layered structures within the crystal, creating an impressive effect with bands of brilliance that spread in a consistent direction. The contrast between the transparency and the rainbow color is beautiful, and specimens with particularly vibrant coloring are rare due to their limited production. Please enjoy the unique expression of light in each individual stone.

※ We strive to ensure that the colors in our photos are as close to the actual product as possible, but colors may look slightly different depending on lighting conditions during photography or your monitor settings. Additionally, some photos may be taken using a penlight.

※ For products featuring UV fluorescence photos, they are taken using a 365nm wavelength blacklight. If you use a light with a different wavelength (e.g., around 395nm), the fluorescence may appear weaker or be difficult to confirm. The blacklight we use at our shop is here.
