A colorless, transparent beryl, also known as "goshenite." Mineralogically, it belongs to the same beryl group as emeralds and aquamarines, and is also called "white beryl." While emeralds turn green due to chromium and aquamarines contain iron, this stone is appealing for its crystal-clear transparency, which results from it containing almost no coloring elements. This particular goshenite was cut by the Sri Lankan lapidary, Mr. Sanje.
