[Available 9/4 at 10 PM] Sri Lankan Uva Moonstone 6.1mm/0.825ct Loose Gemstone

This moonstone appears to have a spotlight shining right in its center. This bright optical effect, resembling the glow of the moon, is the defining characteristic of moonstone. These photos were taken using a penlight.
This moonstone is from the Uva province of Sri Lanka, a source discovered only recently. We purchased the rough stone ourselves, and it has been polished into a special round cut by Sri Lankan master lapidary Mr. Sanje to bring out its brilliant shine.
