Trapiche emeralds, which display six distinct rays, are a rare and precious gemstone, accounting for only a tiny fraction of all emeralds produced. This pattern is believed to be formed when impurities become mixed with the crystal during its growth and extend vertically along with the crystal.
While most trapiche emeralds on the market come from the Muzo mine, this particular one is from the rare Cosquez mine. Furthermore, we have carefully selected pieces with deep body color and beautiful patterns. This particular lot was acquired by Masahiro Shimizu, the "Emerald Hunter" familiar from the TV show "Matsuko no Shiranai Sekai," for his overseas collection, and was first unveiled in Hong Kong.

フォスフォフィライトが欲しかった、というよりは透明感がある柔らかなグリーンとほのかに蛍光感があるところがとても好みで、清水買いでしたが全く後悔していません。大きさも申し分なく、今まで小さすぎなければいい、くらいの気持ちでしたが、やっぱり大きいと色が堪能できて良いですね。時間帯によって色合いが少し変わりますが、どの色も眺めていて飽きません。一旦しまってからすぐにまた見たくなってしまうので不思議です。
