Colombia Cosquez Mine Trapiche Emerald 0.138ct Loose with Certificate
Trapiche emeralds, which display six radiating "spokes," are extremely rare gemstones, making up only a tiny fraction of all emeralds produced. This pattern is believed to form when impurities mix into the crystal during its growth and extend vertically along with the crystal.
While most trapiche emeralds on the market come from the Muzo mine, this particular one is a rare find from the Cosquez mine. Furthermore, we have carefully selected pieces with a deep body color and beautiful patterns. This stone was hand-picked from a lot purchased for overseas markets and first unveiled in Hong Kong, part of the Masahiro Shimizu Emerald Hunter Collection, well-known from the TV show "Matsuko's Unknown World."
