Colombian Pyrite in Emerald 4.222ct Loose Stone
The beautiful green of emeralds is said to vary in color depending on their origin. This particular emerald is from Colombia, known for its especially deep green hue. Emeralds are generally stones with many inclusions, so oil treatment is commonly applied to minimize their appearance. Please enjoy the elegant green color. This is a pyrite-in-emerald.
This is a pyrite-in-emerald from the Chivor Mine in Colombia. The Chivor Mine is known for producing beautiful emeralds with a bluish tint. This is a loose stone with pyrite inclusions within the emerald. The addition of metallic-lustered pyrite to the emerald allows for a different look than a plain emerald. It's a single stone that showcases its individuality as a mineral.
Such pyrite-in-emeralds are known not only for their interesting appearance but also for the difficulty in polishing them. This is because emeralds and pyrite have different hardnesses, with emeralds being harder. Therefore, in normal polishing, the pyrite parts tend to become indented. For this reason, such stones are carefully cut over time in Colombia. Because different minerals coexist within a single stone, high skill and caution are required in the finishing process.

※ We strive to ensure that the photos show the same color as the actual product, but due to lighting conditions during shooting and the monitor environment you are using, the actual product may look slightly different. Also, some photos may have been taken using a penlight.
※ For products with UV fluorescence photos, we use a 365nm wavelength black light for shooting. If you use a light with a different wavelength (e.g., around 395nm), the fluorescence may appear weak or be difficult to confirm. The black light we use is here.
