Its deep, dark red color is highly prized among all types of coral, which is why it is called "oxblood." This oxblood coral was purchased directly from a coral dealer in Kochi Prefecture and polished by skilled craftsmen in Kochi Prefecture.

*Although it may appear bright in the photos, it is actually a deeper, darker red. Please enjoy the subdued color unique to oxblood coral.
