Dolomite-included anthill garnet from the USA, 4.5mm/0.435ct loose stone

Garnet is famous as the birthstone for January. In fact, it is a gemstone that comes in a variety of colors, including red, yellow, orange, and green. This specific stone is a garnet known as "Anthill Garnet," mined in Arizona, USA. It is so named because the garnets are discovered around anthills, having been brought up from underground by ants during the construction of their nests.

This is a 4.5mm round cut, 0.435ct stone. It has high transparency, and when viewed through a loupe, you can enjoy the needle-like inclusions characteristic of Anthill Garnet.

Furthermore, apart from the needle-like inclusions, granular crystal inclusions that look like air bubbles can also be seen. As a result of testing conducted by a third-party laboratory using Raman spectroscopy, these crystal inclusions were identified as "dolomite." In addition to its vivid red color, this is an Anthill Garnet with plenty to see, as you can also observe two types of distinctive inclusions when looking through a loupe.
