Oregon sunstone is said to be the most beautiful labradorite in the world. It has become increasingly popular in recent years. Some types of stone exhibit aventurescence (Schiller effect), in which inclusions reflect like glitter. In order to accurately convey these optical effects, a penlight is used for photography.
This Oregon sunstone has a deep body color and high transparency, cut by Sanjay, a Sri Lankan cutter. It has been carefully cut so that the color does not fade even when viewed from the front.
