Sapphire is a world-renowned gemstone. Its mineral, corundum, is the same as ruby, but all corundum that is not red is called sapphire. This is the most orthodox blue sapphire. With a hardness of 9, second only to diamond, sapphire is a highly durable and stable gemstone that is easy to care for. This blue sapphire was cut by the Sri Lankan lapidary, Mr. Sanje.
