Sapphire is a well-known and famous gemstone. The mineral is corundum, the same as ruby, but all corundum that is not red is called sapphire. This is a blue sapphire, the most classic blue color. With a hardness of 9, sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness, and its high toughness and stability make it an easy gemstone to care for.

This blue sapphire was cut by Sri Lankan master cutter Sanje. It has a meticulous cut that prevents color leakage even when viewed from the front. This blue sapphire has a color close to cornflower blue.
