The famous stone sapphire is a well-known gemstone. It is made from the same mineral corundum as ruby, but all corundum other than red is called sapphire. Sapphire has a hardness of 9, making it the second hardest gemstone after diamond, and it is also highly tough and stable, making it easy to care for.

Inside this sapphire, you can see the " silk inclusions " that are unique to unheated stones. These are naturally occurring rutile (needle-shaped inclusions), and are one of the characteristics that disappear when heated. Although the stone is highly transparent, the fact that you can faintly see these silk inclusions is proof that it is unheated, and is an element that is highly valued by collectors. This is a high-quality loose stone with high transparency. It comes with a GIA identification certificate.
