[On sale June 3rd, 10 PM JST] Brazilian Kasharaiya Amethyst 0.387ct Loose Stone

This amethyst comes from the Caxarai mine in Rondônia, Brazil, which was depleted in a short four-year period between 2000 and 2004. It's a vivid, deep purple Caxarai amethyst, also known as color-shift amethyst because it turns reddish-purple under warm light. It was discovered when mining began to search for the rare metal tantalum ore, and when it was first brought to Japan, its stunning beauty and infrared absorption characteristics, similar to synthetic amethyst, led some to suspect it was synthetic.
This is a Brazilian Caxarai amethyst, cut by Sri Lankan master cutter Mr. Sanje. It features a rare heptagonal (7-sided) cut, offering transparent purple color and a unique sparkle.
