Moss agate, a mysterious stone that looks as if plants are embedded within it. Its patterns resemble moss, underwater algae, or even deep green tree branches and forests. Moss agate is a polycrystalline quartz. Its Japanese name is "Menou" (瑪瑙), and there are records of it being mined in Japan. This is a moss agate cut by Sri Lankan master cutter Mr. Sanje.
