This is a colorless and transparent beryl, also known as "goshenite". Mineralogically, it belongs to the same beryl group as emerald and aquamarine, and is also called "white beryl". While chromium turns it green to become emerald, and iron gives it the blue of aquamarine, goshenite contains almost no coloring elements, resulting in a captivating clear transparency.
