South African rhodochrosite 2.477ct loose Japanese-German edition
Rhodochrosite is a lovely gemstone that ranges from strawberry-red to pink. It is a relatively new gemstone that first appeared on the market in 1940. The name comes from the Greek rhodes, meaning "rose", and chros, meaning "color".
This is a large loose piece of approximately 2.5ct polished from old stock South African rhodochrosite. A certificate of identification from the Japan-German Gem Research Institute is included.
