Goshenite 6.5mm/1.066ct loose stone

This is a colorless and transparent beryl, also known as "Goshenite." Mineralogically, it belongs to the beryl group, like emerald and aquamarine, and is also called "white beryl." While chromium turns beryl green to become emerald and iron turns it blue to become aquamarine, goshenite is formed with very few coloring elements, resulting in its appealing clear transparency. 6.5 mm. A loose stone cut by Sri Lankan polisher Sanje.
