Goshenite 6mm/0.896ct loose stone

This is a colorless and transparent beryl, also known as "Goshenite." Mineralogically, it belongs to the same beryl group as emerald and aquamarine and is also called "white beryl." While chromium turns beryl green to become an emerald, and iron turns it blue to become an aquamarine, goshenite's appeal lies in its clear transparency, which is a result of containing almost no coloring elements. It measures 6mm. Cut by Sri Lankan craftsman, Mr. Sanje.
