Quartz, known in Japanese as 'suisho' (crystal), is a stone that is familiar in Japan, but it is also a profound stone with an outstanding number of varieties, including amethyst and citrine. This crystal, which resembles red cherry blossom petals, is called Tinkerbell Quartz or Pink Fire Quartz. A penlight was used to photograph the inclusions inside so that they could be more clearly seen. Tinkerbell Quartz has a rare facet cut.
