Benitoite is said to be one of the three rarest stones in America. It has a strong brilliance like a diamond and a beautiful blue color like a sapphire, making it a very attractive gemstone. It is said to have been discovered near the San Benito River in California in the 1900s, and is characterized by its strong light dispersion. This is a large 0.6ct bicolor benitoite. It comes with a certificate of identification from the Japan-Germany Gemological Institute.
