May birthstone

The birthstone for May is emerald / jade .

Emerald is a type of beryl, the same mineral as aquamarine, and is the name given to beryl, which contains chromium and has a green color. One of the characteristics is that many of them have scratches and inclusions inside. The most famous and high-quality production area is Colombia. The emerald cut is said to have originated from Colombian emeralds.

Jade is also a gemstone with an impressive green color, but it actually comes in a wide variety of colors, including purple, orange, and white.
