Dunilite, discovered in Sri Lanka in 1996, is a rare gemstone known for being a variety of olivine (peridot) rich in iron and manganese. It is named after Mr. Dunil Eranga, a mining magnate in Sri Lanka.

The only known source is said to be the Kolonna region of Sri Lanka, and gem-quality crystals are extremely rare, making opportunities to see them in the market uncommon. It is a relatively new gemstone and has attracted collectors' attention due to its rarity.

These dunilites were polished in Sri Lanka after purchasing raw stones little by little on site. You can enjoy the unique color and brilliance of olivine.
